'The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful!' E.E Cummings
Mud pies, dens, potions, bug hunts, stories, sticks, natural craft, exploring, listening, growing, playing and much much more...
Through regular visits to Forest School, children can build on physical, social and cognitive skills - whilst boosting self-esteem, resilience and wellbeing. Parents often report a little boost to their wellbeing too. With time outdoors, a cup of tea and a chat with other parents being just what's needed to get through the day!
We encourage families to come for a term to give your children the chance to make friends and become familiar with the group. We understand though that family life isn't always predictable, so we're happy to offer some flexibility where we can. If you have any questions, or would like to try a taster session with your little one first, feel free to contact us.
Bee in the Woods host weekly Forest School and outdoor play sessions from two different sites.
Baby Bee's in Easthill Park - Tuesdays and Fridays 10.30am - 12pm
Join us in Easthill Park for lots of outdoor fun and adventure for the under 5's and their grown-ups.
Sessions run from our woodland 'camp' at the northern end of Easthill Park. With a new theme each week, there are songs, stories, exploration, craft and lots of free play fun and adventure! Our Easthill sessions are like an outdoor playgroup with lots of free play and lead activity opportunities. We are a relaxed and friendly group with tea available for adults and a healthy snack provided for your little ones.
The sessions are ideal for children aged 2.5 to 5 - but younger children are welcome to come along and give it a try. Activities are often messy as we let the children experiment and explore their senses. There is no expectation to take part; we understand that not all children want to sing songs/make crafts. The important thing is playing outdoors and enjoying your time together. Younger siblings are very welcome to join in and there are blankets, cushions and soft toys for babies to enjoy.
There is parking and the Number 1/1A buses drop off near the park.
Term-time only. New Term Starts Tuesday February 20th & Friday February 23rd
